Illustration Friday - similar

This is for IF "similar." These two are twins with one small difference between the two of them. Can you spot the difference and similarities?

This is a drawing I did in my sketchbook, then colored it on Photoshop. My mom showed me how to use the gradient tool. I think it's a cool tool.

I finally did another IF entry. This is for the theme "sugary". I thought of Day of the Dead sugar skulls. I was also inspired by the cool artistJoel Nakamura.

I might color this one day, but for now it's just black and white, drawn in my large sketchbook.

Illustration Friday - Fierce

This is my entry for IF - Fierce. This is a fierce dragon. I have nothing to say about this dragon, except he's fierce.

This is a simple doodle in my sketchbook.

Sorry I haven't been participating in IF so much lately. I'm also sorry I apologize so much for not updating my blog, and never do what I say I'm going to do. I've been busy lately improving my guitar skills.

Drawing Day '08

I did this drawing for Drawing Day '08. I've been very busy with a play, baseball, and other activities. That's why I'm a day late on this drawing. The actual day was yesterday, June 7.

I did this drawing in my little sketch book, 2 3/4 x 3 3/4 inches. Drawn with pen and colored pencil.

There are only 5 days left until summer. I'm pretty sure I'll be doing a lot of art then. So you can check back soon, and I'll have something new.

Cool Book Report Picture

Here's a picture that I did for my last book report. It is a giant mutant fish. The book was "Aliens Stole My Body", by Bruce Coville. In this picture one of the aliens is escaping the giant fish on the planet krymander.

NibbleFest - Rodent

This month's NibbleFest theme is "rodent." I did a portrait of the rare Capi-zooka. The Capi-zooka is the rarest of all rodents, and also the largest. If you think it's cousin, the capiberra, is the largest, then you are wrong. He lives in the underground subways of New York. If you hear a strange thumping on the side of the subway train, then a capi-zooka is nearby.

This is an ACEO (2.5 x 3.5 inches), watercolor and pen and ink on watercolor paper. It's for sale now on eBay

Illustration Friday - "Theory"

This is Wesley's contribution to Illustration Friday's theme of "theory." This is "Theory of Monster-itity." It's looks like Dr. Einstein has drank a little bit Dr. Jekyl's monster formula. But that hasn't stopped him from conducting amazing experiments.

This is an ACEO (2.5x3.5 inches) watercolor and pen and ink on 140 lb. watercolor paper.

Here is where you'll find it for sale in my mom's shop on Etsy.

Freddy the Yeti

This is "Freddy the Yeti." Someone caught him outside of his home in the Himalayas going out for a walk. As he walks he realizes that global warming is melting his snow at a fast rate. So you must help to stop global warming so Freddy can have a nice walk.

DAMN GLOBAL WARMING!

This is an ACEO (2.5x3.5 inches) watercolor and pen and ink.

Illustration Friday - Legends and Tales

Big Foot has finally been captured! With a camera at least! Yes that's right someone has photographed Big Foot fleeing from a Starbucks near Seattle. While he was escaping, he held a Venti Half-Caff-Soy-Latte. He seemed very stunned when his picture was taken. Who knew Big Foot had a thing for coffee!

This is my entry for IF's Tales and Legends. Big Foot is a North American Legend. He is a giant hairy ape-man who rampages through the forest. There have been many sightings of him.

NFAC - Goat-A-Puss

This is Goat-A-Puss. He is my NibbleFest entry for January - "combine 2 animals to make one."

He is part goat and part squid. His best friend is a "Kerpoofle." Kerpoofles are fur-ball aliens, much like a dust bunny. This one happens to follow Goat-A-Puss everywhere.

This is an ACEO, 2.5x3.5, watercolor and pen and ink.

-SOLD-

Soon Kerpoofles will be for sale as plushies in our Etsy shop. So look out for these fantastic monsters of magic soon.
