Memorabilia of Creepiness

This is my creapazoid creepy memorablia. It mainly includes Tim Burton stuff, but also has Mr. Toast, Pickledpunk, and Emily The Strange zines. There is also 'Buried Skulls', a voodoo doll and kit, a gargoyle, and Tim Burton's 'Tragic Toys'.

The little stuffed monster is a character I designed and my Great Grandma sewed. We made him while I was in Texas this summer.

In the back we have 3 Haunted Mansion comic books made by Dark Horse. I got them for Christmas.

My creepy memorabilia is awesome, and I hope it gets even bigger.

Vampire Skeleton

This is "Vampire Skeleton." He is out on a moonlight walk to seek his next victim.

My mom really likes the colors, the castle, and the moon. I like the moon and the creepiness of the skeleton.

This ACEO is now on Ebay. It only has a couple of days left, so if you want it you should go here to bid on it. There's also a Business Squid on there right now.

Crazy Monster Page

This is a crazy page out of my sketch book. I did it on our second vacation up the Coast of California. Look around and you'll see some of my previous art and also some new monsters.

I've been busy all summer and haven't been able to update my blog. Now that I have more time, I'll be updating my blog more often. I will be including pages of my sketch book.

Trip-Day 1

Yesterday I left on my vacation to North Caroline with my Grandpa and my mom. We stopped in Flagstaff and saw some haunted places that were in a Route 66 book that I have.

First we have a hotel where movie stars have stayed. There are a lot of ghosts who inhabit this place. Next we visited the Riordan which is a state historical park. It is a huge mansion built by two brothers. It is also haunted.

We stayed in Gallup, New Mexico for the night. I will hopefull have more time later to update this blog better.

Voodoo Doll in the Mountains

This is the voodoo doll I got at the thrift store up here in the mountains. I was surprised to find a voodoo doll. It's from New Orleans and that makes it very special to me.

Soap Creature

This is my new soap creature. I made him while I was in the bath. A little piece of soap got stuck to the bar of soap, and it kinda looked like an eyeball. I thought I would make this guy.

Sorry, I haven't had much time to update my blog lately. Look for more postings soon.

Illustration Friday - signs

This is "Beware of Man-Eating Plant." It is my Illustration Friday entry for this week.

As you can see, the plant on the left is thinking about eating his partner. Little does the one on the right know, he's about to be chomped.

There are signs being entangled in the creatures long vines. Will the signs help travelers stay away from this man eating monster?

Illustration Friday - Remember

For this weeks IF Remember, I had to think about my idea for a while. I decided to do a monster that has remembered that he has a large piece of chocolate pie at home stored in the fridge. It is called "Remembering Pie." It's so late because my mom wouldn't help me list it until now.

It is an ACEO (2.5x3.5 inches) done with acrylic and pen and ink. See it here on ebay.

Fungus Maximus

This is a giant piece of fungus that my mom found in our backyard. It's probably the second biggest fungus that I've ever seen. I couldn't believe how big it was when I first saw it. I thought it was made of plastic. There's also a small fungus growing behind the stump it is on. The dog almost ate it.

This is my hand next to the giant fungus. I named it "FUNGUS MAXIMUS."

Illustration Friday - Polar

This week's Illustration Friday was "polar." I couldn't narrow it down to just one idea this week, so I decided to do two. The first one is called "Polar Nightmare." It is a penguin gone bad. He has viciously sharp teeth, and unusually sharp claws. When I did the background for this I tried to use the same technique that my mom did when she did a polar bear some time back. At the top I was trying to do the Northern Lights or the Aurora Borealus. It's on ebay now.

The second one is a polar "Yetti". I got this idea while reading my Mythical Monsters book. I modeled mine more after Bigfoot than a Yetti. They look good together and I used the same technique as I did with the penguin. It's also on ebay.

Both are ACEO size (2.5x3.5 inches) done with watercolor and pen and ink.

Tadpole and Moor on Spring Break

I got this fish as an Easter present from my Grandma. My mom got me this tadpole for our pond. This fish is a Black Moor, otherwise known as a "Bug Eye Fish." His name is Finkelstein, named after the mad scientist, Dr. Finkelstein in the Nightmare Before Christmas. The tadpole is an African Bullfrog and should grow to the size of a large hand. The fish loves the tadpole and likes to sleep next to him. He also follows him everywhere. The tadpole would be fun to watch turn into a frog, but we think he'll have a better chance out in the pond.

Illustration Friday - fortune

For this Illustration Friday I did "The Tiki of Good Fortune." As you can see he's sitting high and mighty on his giant pile of jewels and gold. I first got this idea when I saw the tikis on the Trader Joe's bag. I got the idea for the top plate on the head from "Pele The Volcanoe Goddess" at Disneyland's Enchanted Tiki Room.

It's an ACEO (size 2.5x3.5 inches)

Illustration Friday - Green

I did this Illustration Friday entry in my journal for a change. It is a little dome monster. I had a lot of ideas for "green", but this is the only one I wanted to do. It is called "Green Dome Creature". It was originally my friend, Ben's idea and he's been asking me for 2 weeks now to either put it on my blog or make an ACEO out of it. I still have to make an ACEO. I changed it a lot t make i my own. It is pen and ink and colored pencil. This is the first time I tried shading with colored pencil. I used my mom's Prismacolor pencils and they work really good.

Science - Exploding Volcano

This is a science project that I recently did. First, I made a mixture of plaster of paris, rock, sand, and water. I then covered the plastic volcano mold with the mix. It dried very quickly. Then I made the mixture for the "lava." The mixture was food coloring, vinegar, and liquid soap. I put some baking soda into the volcano at the top. I put the "lava" mixture in a bottle, then squeezed it through the tube until it came out of the top. When the mixture hit the baking soda, it "exploded."

The project was a success and I want to do it again.

Two Strange Monsters

These are two of my latest and strangest ACEOs. I wanted to try to just draw them without sketching the idea first. The green paint is neon and glows under the black light. They look really spacey when they're glowing.

Illustration Friday - wired

This robot is escaping from the lab, after being built by a mad scientist.

As you can see he's partly unfinished because the wires are popping out of his head.

This week's IF is "wired." This robot is wired.

It's an ACEO, art card, size 2.5x3.5 inches.

Evil Ice Cream

I did this Evil Ice Cream for the eBay ACEO Group's Challenge of the week. The theme was "pink".

I thought to do an evil ice cream last Sunday when I was eating a cherry ice cream. There were two cherries close together that looked like eyes. I drew a mouth with my finger, and that's how I thought of this idea.

This is done with acrylic paint and pen and ink.

Science Experiment

Last week was the last day of a science class I was taking. This is one of the things that I did. I really liked it so I wanted to try it at home. Although it didn't turn out as good because we had different soap here at home.

First, you pour milk into a flat container. Next, you put about 7 drops of food coloring in different colors. Finally, you add a few drops of dish soap on top of the drops of food coloring. All the colors should swirl together. It looks like a colorful explosion. It is cool!

Mountain Lion

The editors of the yearbook choose me to do a picture for the 2nd page of the yearbook. My school is kindergarten through 8th grade, so I was surprised when I was asked to do the drawing, since I'm only in 4th grade. They wanted a mountain lion picture. I thought I'd have a hard time with the background and the shading, but it turned out ok. The editors of the yearbook really liked it. This will be my first published work.

Illustration Friday - sprout

This is my Illustration Friday-sprout. He is a "Garlic Sprout Creature". My mom showed me this garlic the other day. I liked the idea of making a creature out of the garlic, with the sprout part for hair. My mom and I both had the same idea but on her's just the head is garlic. On mine the whole body is garlic.

This is an ACEO, 2.5x3.5 inches. Done in acrylic.

Illustration Friday - Red

This is my illustration friday -red. It is a heart creature called "Valentine Monster of Love". When I thought of red, since it's almost Valentine's Day, I thought about doing a creepy heart. I also wanted to do a simple ACEO so I did this. I'm hoping this card will do as well as the others I've been selling lately. I've been having good luck and I like this one so much that I hope it also does well.

This is an ACEO, 2.5x3.5 inches, acrylic on 140 lb acid-free watercolor paper.

Illustration Friday - 80s/NFAC - Music

This is my first entry into Illustration Friday. It is a "Rocker Skeleton". It's for the 80's theme week. I heard there were a lot of punk rockers in the 80's so I thought about doing this skeleton. Since I wasn't born yet, it was kind of hard to think of what the 80s was all about.

If you're interested in buying this I will list it on January 20th for Nibblefest on ebay. Search NFAC on ebay starting the 20th of each month to find the Nibblefest entries. Or come back to my blog and you will find it for sale then.

This is an ACEO, 3.5x2.5 inches, watercolor.

Creepy Creature of the Deep

I'm just now starting my new blog. This is an ACEO that I did a few months ago. I'm now making a clay model of this creature. I'm also working on a new comic book series and this is a character that will be in it. Look for more info soon.
